3rd Int'l Petroleum Conf: Tech Perspectives for Hydrocarbons Production & Refining, Resumos de Física Experimental

Invitation for researchers and engineers in the oil industry to present their work on technological perspectives for hydrocarbons production and refining at the 3rd international petroleum conference in Luanda, Angola. Supported by the Catholic University of Angola, the Polytechnic Institute of Technology and Sciences, and Chevron Gabcoc. Aims to provide networking opportunities, energize students, and share experiences and best practices. Focuses on themes such as the national petroleum industry, environmental impact, oil crisis, optimization, and professional training. Abstract submission deadline is July 15, 2021, with acceptance decisions by September 30, 2021.

The Catholic University of Angola (UCAN), the Polytechnic Institute of
Technology and Sciences (ISPTEC) and the Chevron Gabcoc, caIls this 3th
International Petroleum Conference with intention to have the opportunity to be
the venue where researchers and engineers in the oil industry can present their
work concerning the Technological Perspectives for the Production and
Refining of Hydrocarbons” Also it is intended for a wide cross-functional
audience of engineering, earth science, drilling, operations and Information
Technology staffs. This conference is to provide an excellent opportunity to
network with colleagues, energize student, and share experiences and best
practices. Importantly, it also contributes to the UCAN-ISPTEC-CHEVRON
organizational capability, which means building a world-class system combining
people, processes and culture to achieve and sustain a teaching- leading
performance.
Petroleum engineering plays a major role in shaping the modem society by
providing advanced new strategy to enhance oil/gas production and recoveries
to maintain a balanced market supply of oil and gas in an increasing national and
global consumption levels.
Oral and poster sessions will be focused on the following themes of the Meeting:
a) The National Petroleum Industry and the Environmental Impact.
b) Oil Crisis: Causes, Consequences, Alternatives and Perspectives.
c) Optimization of the Oil Industry as a Strategy to Potentialize
Production.
d) Potential for Professional Training Based on the Experiences of the
Oil and Gas Industry.
Abstracts will be accepted for either oral or poster presentation. Please indicate
your preference when submitting your forms.
All the abstracts will be reviewed and approved by the scientific committee.
Upon your acceptance, you will be notified if you will attend an oral or a poster
session.

The abstracts will be submitted for publication on a Special Edition of “Angolan Minerals, Oil and Gas Journal”. Abstracts are to be submitted by e-mail with attached Word document format to the Conference Secretariat at the following e-mail addresses support@amogj.com. The deadline for abstracts submission is 15 th July 2021. Acceptance will be decided by the 30th September 20 21. a) Abstract is limited to one A4 size page, text only without any figures or tables. Top, bottom, left, and right margins 25 mm. b) Title: Upper and lower case, left justified, Times New Roman font, 14 pt bold. c) Contributors’ names: Upper and lower case left, justified, first name first, surname last, Times font, 11pt. d) Affiliation: Upper and lower case, left justified, Times font, 10 pt. Numbered superscripts should be used to indicate the affiliation of each contributor. E- mail address can be added in parentheses at the end of the corresponding contributor’s affiliation. e) Main text: Single spaced text, Times 10 pt font, no section headings. f) 500 words are limited for one abstract. g) One pictures and one graph could be added to support or make an explanation. The official languages of the Conference shall be in English and Portuguese. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
