Worship Through Song:
Living Hope
vs1
How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation, I turned to heaven
And spoke Your name into the night
Then through the darkness, Your
loving-kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is nished, the end is written
Jesus Christ, my living hope
vs2
Who could imagine so great a mercy?
What heart could fathom such boundless
grace?
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame
The cross has spoken, I am forgiven
The King of kings calls me His own
Beautiful Savior, I'm Yours forever
Jesus Christ, my living hope
chorus
Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There's salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope
vs3
Then came the morning that sealed the
promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Then came the morning that sealed the
promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Jesus, Yours is the victory!

Sermon:

Scripture Reference: Ephesians 4:1- Ephesians 1-3 - This is your identity, it’s who you are as a Christian Ephesians 4-6 - This is how you live in light of who you are Sunday, March 28, 2020 Ephesians 4:1-6 “Wherefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. ● Humans were created for relationships with others who are physically close. ● Created BY relationship and IN relationship and FOR relationship. ● The enemy draws people to isolation, separation and self-worship. God created us in Relationship. Gen. 2:18 “It is not good for man to be alone.” This is not God’s mistake, but his fulfillment of creation. Genesis 2:2-25 fits into Genesis 1:26 “The humans and their relationship is good.” The first time man speaks is in elation that turns into poetic celebration. “This Woman!” The second time man speaks is in division that turns into blame. “This Woman!” Ephesians 4:2 “Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” Righteous relationships begin with humility opening the door to gentleness and patience to make allowances for each other’s faults because of love.

Allowances - To Bear With - Long Suffering - To accommodate the needs of another - To make room for other’s faults or failures. To carry other’s burdens. ● The patient and gentle give grace in failures. ● The impatient and ungentle jump on failures. Ephesians 4:3 “Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” “There can be no unity in the Spirit if there is no Humility making way for gentleness and patience. When we ‘bear with’ one another we become more united as a community, which allows for diversity and differences.” Making every “EFFORT” is to Work at it with zealous haste or eager diligence. Making it a priority. The more we are bound to someone the more patient we are with their faults. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. Who do you have the most patience with? Who do you have the least patience with? What is the difference between these two people? Are there ways you can “Make Every Effort” to keep the Church unified. Review Romans 12 in light of Ephesians 4:1-
