Author of The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer’s Drawing Book published in 1791 Elegant, crisp and light designs Motifs included: marquetry and paintings of flowers, feathers, acanthus leaves and classical urns 1st in England to attach porcelain plaques to furniture (Wedgewood) (Sevres in France) His work was heavily influenced by the Louis XVI style from France and by the design of Adam and Hepplewhite. Sheraton Chair Backs Emphasizes straight lines!
