Professional Disclosure Statement for Community Counseling Position, Assignments of History of Education

Assume you are applying for a community counseling position. Develop a
Professional Disclosure Statement which includes
a. a brief description of your professional background
b. your counseling approach, including,
- your views on the nature and purpose of counseling
- what clients might expect from the counseling process,
- a division of responsibilities between your client and you,
- a summary of your theoretical position (including the major techniques you
are likely to use),
c. the kinds of clients and problems that you are best qualified to work with,
d. confidentiality and other matters that might affect your relationship with your
clients, and
e. other topics which you feel would help clients decide if they would want to
consult with you.
Please respond to these issues in 4 - 5 typewritten pages. Project due March
24, 2004.
