Look at the pictures, how the person in the pictures feel?

I. Vocabulary

 You seem a little blue today. What's the matter?  What's wrong?  What's the matter?  Are you OK / alright?  Are you happy / angry...?  Is everything OK / alright...?

 To respond to a question about feelings you can use the following expressions.

 I feel a little sad / happy / angry / ....  I am a little sad / happy / angry / ....  To be honest, I'm a little bit sad / happy / angry / ....  It's been a difficult day.  The thing is that, I am angry / sad / ...

III. Speak up

A. Discuss the questions with a partner

  1. How are you feeling today? Why do you feel this way?
  2. What are some things or events that make you feel happy?
  3. What are some things that make you feel angry?
  4. How do you feel when you make a mistake?
  5. Have you ever cheered up someone who was feeling sad? How did you do it?

B. Two friends are expressing their feelings about a movie.

Complete the conversation with appropriate words from the box
