An experience in my life that has made me who I am today happened when I was
a freshman in High School. My parents broke the news to me that they were getting a
divorce and my whole world came crashing down. For my whole life they have been
there every day, the two of them. Now I realized things would drastically change. The
decision to go with mother or father? My answer? Neither. I chose to pack up and leave,
knowing that my life would never be the same again. Living on my own at such a young
age and also graduating high school on honor roll is a major accomplishment to me, but
I feel like there is more out there to go out and experience. The chance to get quality
education, for FREE in a time like this is just seems like I'm dreaming. I just hope this
opportunity is there when I awake.
