delete all unneeded material, such as mistakes, before printing this).
2. [40 points] Introduction to MATLAB
Complete the “Introduction to MATLAB” exercises on the attached sheet. Be sure to turn in a print
out of all activities (i.e. a copy of your MATLAB codes and files showing completion of all exercises
– you can copy this from the MATLAB work window and paste it into a Word or text document –
please cut out any unnecessary material such as mistakes).
3. [20 points] (To be typed!) In your own words, compare and contrast Maple and MATLAB as
mathematical software. Make sure you list each of their strengths and weaknesses, in your opinion
and in what you imagine we would like to use each for in this course. You should make at least 10
points in your write up. Be clear and concise, and use examples whenever they would be helpful in
your argument.
