Paper 1:
Summary (CONTINUOUS WRITING): q1 (f)
- 15 marks ( 10 for content and 5 for style )
- 120 words (examiners will take +/- 10 but try not to do overboard or make it
look WAY too small)
- 1 PARAGRAPH (THATS WHY CONTINUOUS)
- Bracket points u want to use from the 2 texts at least 10-12 must be in your
writing, try giving as much as possible
- Start off with a topic sentence
- Use connectives like IN ADDITION, FURTHERMORE, MOREOVER, FIRSTLY (they
carry marks)
- USE OWN WORDS but keep keywords (words that can't be changed)

- 200-300 words
- 2 Paragraghs
- PEEL paragraphs
- P- point
- E- evidence
- E- explanation
- L- link
- START with Overview ( ‘In paragraph 8 the overall mood is …’)
- Use tone and mood words
- Mentions writer’s purpose to why they used that word ( is it because it
add an imagery/pun/humour etc)
- Give the phrase then identify the technique used and explain the implicit and
explicit meaning and give the mood you feel as a reader/youth/student
(IMPACT); the mood u state here should be the overall mood you mentioned in
the overview
- Pro tip: there’ll be 2 bullet points in the paper, write a paragraph for each bullet
( thats why the structure is 2 paragraphs)
Journal Entry: q3
-25 marks (10 for reading and 15 for writing)
- 250-350 words
- 5 Paragraph ( opening, body 1-3, ending )
- Reflection ( what u see and how u felt about this certain event )
- Explain event/experience

  • Script : Interviewer : Interviewee/name: (on the first question refer to last bullet)
  • DONT CHANGE THE QUESTION FROM BULLET
